A little bit about us...
Fur Do's dog grooming is a family run business within the lovely grounds of Betton Farm at East Ayton. We pride ourselves on grooming with love and giving your dog all the care and attention they deserve when being pampered in the salon. We understand that for some dogs this can be a stressful situation and we want to do everything we can to put them at ease. We do this by:
Securing the salon so that your dog can sniff around and get to know their environment.
Using wooden play pens rather than cages if your dog does need to be secured.
Using organic shampoos with natural essential oils to calm and relax during bath time
Giving your pet lots of love, cuddles and reassurance throughout the groom.
All groomers within the salon are City and Guilds Qualified and also animal first aid certificates. We all have big hearts and a loving passion for grooming dogs!
We can cater for all your grooming needs from:
* Dog Grooming
* Bath & Tidy
* Handstripping (with Stephanie)
* Teeth Cleaning (with Stephanie)
Drop in appointments are also available for Nail clipping & Ear cleaning.
Why regular grooming is important for ALL dogs…
Booking reqular grooming appointments for your dog doesn’t just keep them pretty, it keeps them healthy and happy. Here are 5 benefits of professional dog grooming:
Grooming maintains a healthy coat and skin
Regular nail trims not only help keep the nails short but helps reinforce healthy foot structure and posture and reduces the risk of infection
Your dog will look great and smell fabulous
Regular visits may result in early detection of issues with ears, skin, teeth and more
Shiny, healthy and properly brushed coats will shed less if smooth/short coated. On wool/long haired dogs it will and prevent knots and matting that can be painful for the dog when being brushed. Very bad matting can result in all the dogs coat being clipped off all over very close to the skin.
