Which groom would best suit my dog?

COAT:   Smooth/Short

GROOM:  FULL GROOM SHORT  - (Deshed)

Breed Eg:  Labrador, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Boxer, Pug, Beagle

Deshedding a dog is basically a removal of a dog’s loose undercoat hair. When you deshed your dog, you’re helping them get rid of hair that will eventually end up on furniture and clothes. This will benefit your dog in many ways, making them more comfortable and keeping their coat and skin healthy.

COAT:  Combination/Double coats 

GROOM:  FULL GROOM LONG (Deshed & Outline Trim)

Breed Eg:  Golden Retriever, Husky, Newfoundland, Cocker spaniels, Irish Setter, border collie, Chow, Pomerarian

These coats are made up of 2 layers, an under coat and an outer coat. These breeds do not require clipper work due to the structure of the coat being designed to keep the dogs warm in winter and cool in summer but are prone to shedding a couple of times a year. Included in this service is a deshed as above as well as an outline trim and tidy of skirt, feathers, bloomers.

COAT:   Long/Wool

GROOM:  FULL GROOM LONG HAIR (Teddy Trim) 

Breed Eg:  Afghan Hound, Tibetan Terrier, Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, Bichon, Poodle,   Cockapoo, Pooshon, Cavapoo, Labradoodle

Long coats are often classed as non shedding and need grooming regularly to get rid of knots and maintain cleanliness. Wool coats are one of the highest maintenance coat types and are also non-shedding. These coats must be brushed daily and groomed every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Service includes clipping/scissor styling to breed standard

COAT:   Wire/Rough

GROOM:  FULL GROOM LONG HAIR (CLIPPED OR HANDSTRIP AVAILABLE) 

Breed Eg:  Most Terriers, Schnauzers, Wire Haired Dachhunds

The wire coat has a soft, dense undercoat that covers much of the body and a wirey guard hair that covers the entire body. The longer guard coat must be brushed reqularly to prevent matts and tangles. Service included clipping or hand stripping plus scissor work styling to breed standard.

COAT:   SILKY / COURSE

GROOM:  FULL GROOM LONG HAIR (SKIRT & FEATHERS) 

Breed Eg:  Westie, Cairn Schnauzers, Terriers, Scottie, Spaniels, Yorkies

These type of coats benefit from keeping their longer beards, skirts and feathers regularly brushed and trimmed to prevent matting. Groom includes clipping/handstripping if required and skirt, feather and face trim to breed standard.

All the above grooms include a Health Check, Bath, Blowdry, Brush Out, Nail Clip, Ear and Eye clean
